If you are interested in the natural environment around you, where and how people live in the world, current affairs and issues, making decisions about conflicts of interest, then Geography is for you.

You will benefit from the following resources and facilities:

  • experienced, specialist teaching staff.
  • use of full range of resources, including internet, video and interactive whiteboard.
  • a number of textbooks to support learning and opportunities for reading around the subject.

Teaching and learning includes formal lessons, discussions/debates, group activities and presentations, practical exercises, individual essay writing and fieldwork investigation.

A-level Geography is a valuable qualification in itself, but also combines very well with a variety of subjects to provide excellent entry qualifications for arts, science and social science degrees at university.
