Haybridge Sixth Form Open Morning – Saturday, 11 January- Book a time

Haybridge Open Evenings this year will be held on Wednesday, 23 September, for the Lower School and on Thursday, 15 October, for the Sixth Form.

Haybridge is open today Wednesday 20th November for all year groups.

Students and staff must take great care when making their way to school as after the recent snowfall roads and pavements may be a cause for concern and should only be travelled if families and individuals consider it safe to do so in their particular circumstances.

Please report any absences in the usual way.

Our last communication from the school transport companies suggested that they are running a normal service and they have yet to make us aware of any changes or cancellation to services.

INTEGRITY IS ABOUT DOING THE RIGHT THING We treat others with respect and honesty. We take care of our environment and utilise knowledge and understanding wisely. We nurture our students so that they become young adults of principle and character who support each other in their quest for excellence. WE ARE COMMITTED
TO BEING THE BEST
WE CAN BE
We consistently deliver on expectations and go the extra mile to get the job done, approaching everything with a “can do attitude”. We constantly look to improve ourselves and our service, cultivating our knowledge, skill, and attitudes to achieve excellence.
WE ARE AMBITIOUS FOR OURSELVES AND OUR STUDENTS We set high expectations and standards and strive to achieve excellence in all that we do. We are unashamedly ambitious for the students we serve. We want to provide access to opportunities within the classroom and beyond. We will continue to strive to be the best we can be. KNOWLEDGE AND LITERACY MAKE CREATIVITY POSSIBLE Our schools, where students develop the literacy skills on which all further learning depends, cultivate creativity by providing a broad base of academic knowledge that students need to be properly creative. The knowledge we deliver is powerful in that it changes students’ perceptions, values and understanding. It encourages students to ask new questions and explore alternate explanations.

Sixth Form at Haybridge

The Sixth Form at Haybridge is an established and distinctive part of an exceptional school, and we are able to offer a unique experience.
Following careful consideration of the weather forecast and the Red Heat-Health Alert that is in place,
we have decided to put in place an early closure of the school tomorrow, Thursday 25 June 2026, at
12.20pm.

A letter has gone out to parents/carers with details.

Thank you for your support.

HAYBRIDGE IS OPEN ALL DAY TODAY 24/5/26

With today’s Red Weather Warning and forecast temperatures of up to 40°C, we have updated our risk assessment and are continuing to take additional measures to keep students safe and comfortable.

Haybridge remains open as normal today (Wednesday).

We are aware of potential rail disruption across parts of the West Midlands, although school bus services are currently expected to run as normal. Parents/carers know their child best, and if you feel the risks associated with the extreme heat are too great, we respect your decision regarding attendance.

A reminder that students are not required in school on Friday due to the TED Day.

To support students during the hot weather, we have:
💧 Additional water stations available
👕 Allowed students to wear PE kit
🏫 Adapted practical lessons where necessary
❌ Cancelled all extra-curricular activities and detentions
☀️ Kept students indoors during lunchtime when temperatures are at their highest

Thank you for your continued support as we work together to keep everyone safe during this period of extreme heat.

Hot Weather Reminder – This week ☀️

Due to the warm weather forecast, students should attend school in PE kit on Monday and Tuesday instead of school uniform.

We will review the forecast again on Monday and make a decision regarding uniform expectations for the remainder of the week.

Please note the following items will not be acceptable:
❌ Hot pants or cycling shorts (only school PE skorts, PE shorts or leggings are permitted)
❌ Crocs or flip flops
❌ Branded clothing or sportswear

Please also ensure your child brings:
💧 A water bottle (free access to water will continue throughout the day)
☀️ Sun cream (applied before school where possible)
🧢 A hat for outdoor periods

Thank you for your support in helping students stay safe and comfortable during the hot weather.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Chandos Lodge Care Home for a wonderful afternoon tea hosted by our Kindness Ambassadors and senior members of the Music Leadership Team. ☕🎶

The day began with our Kindness Ambassadors cooking up a storm alongside Mrs Evans, preparing a delicious selection of homemade treats including scones, sausage rolls and mini quiches ready to serve our special guests.

This afternoon, students proudly hosted and served afternoon tea before providing an afternoon of live music and performances from our Music Leadership Team. Residents enjoyed a selection of much-loved classics, including ‘My Way’ by Frank Sinatra, creating a truly special atmosphere.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for making the afternoon so memorable and for showing such kindness, community spirit and talent!
