Sixth Form (Key Stage 5)
At Haybridge, all students follow a study programme that is tailored to their individual needs and aspirations. Students choose at least three A level (or equivalent) subjects – some students are able to choose four A levels, if this is deemed suitable. Entry requirements for each subject can be found by clicking the relevant subject tabs below. Please note that our general entry requirements are 5 Grade 4 or above passes at GCSE, including English Language OR Literature and Mathematics.
The Sixth Form study programmes also include a substantial amount of compulsory non-qualification activity, including weekly tutorials, work experience, study skills, and study support. Students undertake a wide range of accredited and non-accredited enrichment activities, including the Level 3 EPQ, Core Maths, DofE, CISI, debating, charity and volunteer work.
All students are expected to achieve the goal of a minimum of twenty hours work experience during their time in the Sixth Form. There are also a number of ‘next-step’ career and work-related opportunities such as the annual Careers and HE Fair, ‘Career Wednesday’, industry-specific career talks, HE briefings and university masterclasses.
All students at Haybridge Sixth Form are expected to strive for 100% attendance. Any student whose attendance falls below 90% will be subject to appropriate disciplinary proceedings which will be decided by the senior management team. This may result in a student losing their place in the Sixth Form.
