YEAR 7: FURTHER PLACES MAY BE AVAILABLE – CONTACT US FOR DETAILS VIA EMAIL AT admissions@haybridge.worcs.sch.uk

Haybridge Sixth Form Open Morning – Saturday, 11 January- Book a time

Haybridge Open Evenings this year will be held on Wednesday, 23 September, for the Lower School and on Thursday, 15 October, for the Sixth Form.

Haybridge is open today Wednesday 20th November for all year groups.

Students and staff must take great care when making their way to school as after the recent snowfall roads and pavements may be a cause for concern and should only be travelled if families and individuals consider it safe to do so in their particular circumstances.

Please report any absences in the usual way.

Our last communication from the school transport companies suggested that they are running a normal service and they have yet to make us aware of any changes or cancellation to services.

Applying to Haybridge

Haybridge warmly welcomes applications from any family who feels that Haybridge is the right school for their child.  Applications for transfer to Year 7 in September 2027 are made through your home Local Authority (not directly to Haybridge).  If you live in Worcestershire, details can be found here.  You only need to apply once, so if you live in a different Local Authority area, you do not need to apply through Worcestershire as well.

We would like to invite all prospective Year 7 students for 2027 and their parents/carers to our Open Evening on Wednesday 23 September 2026.  There is no need to pre-register and more details and timings will be available on our website shortly.  This event is always very well attended, and we politely ask that you please only bring your Y6 child so that we can accommodate all families without overcrowding.

The closing date for lower school applications is 31 October 2026 and it is very important that you apply in good time before this date, to ensure your application has been received and to check the details.  Late applications after this deadline must be ranked below all on-time applications.  As we are always heavily oversubscribed, you are less likely to be successful if you apply late.

We strongly recommend that you place your preferred schools in your true order of preference in your application.  Schools are not allowed to prioritise applicants on the basis of what preference you have expressed and they must rank applicants only according to their published oversubscription criteria.  If more than one school could potentially offer a place, the Local Authority will allocate the higher of your preferences.  For more information about preference, please ask your Local Authority or contact us on admissions@haybridge.worcs.sch.uk.

Parents/carers of children in Year 6 who apply to Haybridge will receive their offer of a secondary school place on 1 March 2027 through their home Local Authority.  You should respond to your offer as soon as possible.  Please log on to your account with your Local Authority and indicate whether you are accepting the school place offered.  If you live outside Worcestershire and have applied through your own Local Authority, please email Haybridge directly with your response on admissions@haybridge.worcs.sch.uk

Shortly after 1 March 2027 we will send further important information and regular updates to the parents/carers of those students who have been offered places at Haybridge.  Please check emails in the account you gave in your application, as we will use this email address to communicate with you.  Please also check your spam/junk folder regularly as recently some families have found our emails end up in their spam folders and they can miss important transition information.  (Sadly we cannot prevent our emails going to spam!)

Waiting list

If your application for Haybridge is not successful, we recommend that you place your child’s name on our waiting list.  After 1 March a small number of offers may be declined, and we expect to be able to make further offers from our waiting list.  To place your child on the waiting list, please email us with your child’s details after 1 March on admissions@haybridge.worcs.sch.uk and we will respond. We cannot accept telephone requests and we recommend that you do not rely on your Local Authority to pass on requests for the waiting list.  If you did not apply to Haybridge in the first round, please ensure that you submit a late application (see above); we can then add your child to our waiting list.  We can only place a child on our waiting list if you have first submitted an application through your Local Authority.

For more information, please see our FAQ document and our admission policy below (opens in a pdf).  If you have any questions which are not answered in these documents, please.do not hesitate to contact our Admissions Officer on admissions@haybridge.worcs.sch.uk

IN-YEAR TRANSFER FROM ANOTHER SCHOOL INTO HAYBRIDGE IN YEARS 7-11

Please first contact the Admissions Officer at Haybridge for more information and guidance.  The best way to contact us at the moment is by email on admissions@haybridge.worcs.sch.uk.  Telephone messages including your email address may also be left with our reception on 01562 886213 and will be passed to our Admissions Officer who will contact you by email or phone.  We welcome applications for in-year transfer into existing year groups and you can apply online at the Worcestershire County Council website here.  You must submit your application, including the Education History Form, which is required for all in-year transfer applications, to Worcestershire School Admissions and not directly to Haybridge.  On receipt of a fully completed application via Worcestershire School Admissions, we will let you know whether we are able to offer a place.  If we cannot offer a place because the school is full you may email us to place your child on our waiting list.
