Our programme of Personal Development transcends all aspects of school life and is comprised of, but not limited to, our Ethics Curriculum, Tutor Programme, Careers and Work Experience, Character Academy and Pastoral Support.

Personal Development at Haybridge supports students in becoming active, well-rounded citizens who promote equality, tolerance and mutual respect. We aim to equip them with the skills, understanding and resilience they need to achieve well academically, socially and emotionally, enabling them to lead happy, healthy and fulfilling lives as young adults.

Our comprehensive Tutor Programme provides students with a safe and supportive space in which they explore British Values, citizenship, careers and key issues relevant to modern society. This structured time allows for open discussion, reflection and personal growth. In addition, we regularly welcome external speakers from a wide range of charities and organisations who inspire and inform our students’ social, moral and cultural awareness. Students also engage in charitable initiatives throughout the year, giving them meaningful opportunities to contribute to causes beyond the school community.

Through our Character Academy, we offer an extensive programme of enrichment, extra-curricular activities and clubs designed to broaden students’ experiences and develop their individual interests and talents. This is complemented by our annual Personal Challenge Week, where students take part in activities that build teamwork, resilience, leadership and independence. These experiences encourage students to step beyond their comfort zones and develop a strong sense of self-belief.
