Mental Health and Well-being
Good mental health is important for helping children and young people to develop and thrive. A student’s emotional health and wellbeing influences their cognitive development and learning as well as their physical and social health and their mental wellbeing in adulthood. It is normal for students to feel down, anxious, over-whelmed and worried from time to time and we recognise that students need support.
At Haybridge we have a mental health strategy to ensure that all students get the care and kindness they need to keep themselves mentally healthy; the strategy includes all levels of support from whole school initiatives to individualised support provided by the pastoral team, the counsellors at the Wellbeing Crew and our Clinical Psychologist.
Meet the Mental Health First Aiders and find out where they are based in school. Students can talk to our MHFAs if they are feeling worried or anxious about anything. They all wear green lanyards so that students can identify who them easily.
