Sixth Form Open Evening – Wednesday 15th October 2025 (no pre-registration is required)

Haybridge is open today Wednesday 20th November for all year groups.

Students and staff must take great care when making their way to school as after the recent snowfall roads and pavements may be a cause for concern and should only be travelled if families and individuals consider it safe to do so in their particular circumstances.

Please report any absences in the usual way.

Our last communication from the school transport companies suggested that they are running a normal service and they have yet to make us aware of any changes or cancellation to services.

SCHOOL CLOSURE

Haybridge is closed today (Friday 9 January) for all year groups due to the snow.

We have undertaken a risk assessment of the school site and the roads surrounding school. The coach company has advised that there is disruption to some coach services this morning and West Midlands Railway are advising against travel this morning. We feel that it would be unsafe for staff and students to travel to school today.


Work will be set on Edulink for all students.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

You will be aware that the Amber Weather alert for tonight is predicting adverse conditions, ranging from sleet to heavy snow.

In line with our emergency closures procedure, we will make a decision regarding whether the school will open tomorrow morning and aim to update parents and carers by 7am.

At present, school transport is expected to run as normal, but this may change depending on overnight conditions. A risk assessment of the school site, surrounding roads, and weather forecasts will guide our final decision in the morning.

We apologise in advance for any disruption this may cause to normal arrangements.

Please remember to send students in with coats and warm weather clothing, including hats, gloves and scarves, as it is expected to be cold.

Tomorrow will be Week 2 on the timetable.

We are closely monitoring the weather and will keep families updated as needed throughout the week.
